Corrections and Retractions Policy

How ZStormGirl identifies, updates, and documents corrections or retractions to maintain accuracy, integrity, and trust across all content.

Introduction to Corrections and Retractions Policy

ZStormGirl is built on motion, memory, and the hard truth of lived experience. Accuracy isn’t optional — it’s part of the perimeter. When something’s wrong, it gets fixed. When something changes, it gets updated. When something fails, it gets documented.

This policy explains how corrections, updates, and retractions are handled across all ZStormGirl content, including media, tutorials, historical notes, and persona‑based narrative work.

Purpose

The goal of this policy is to maintain accuracy, integrity, and transparency across the entire ZStormGirl ecosystem. Mistakes happen. Conditions change. New information emerges. This policy ensures that updates are made responsibly and visibly.

What Triggers a Correction

A correction is issued when:

  • A factual detail is wrong
  • A mechanical or technical instruction requires adjustment
  • A timeline or historical note is inaccurate
  • A safety recommendation needs revision
  • A caption, label, or metadata element misrepresents the content

Corrections are logged as soon as the issue is confirmed.

How Corrections Are Made

Corrections follow a consistent workflow:

  1. Identify the issue
  2. Verify the correct information
  3. Update the content
  4. Timestamp the change
  5. Note the correction at the bottom of the page or media description

Corrections are never hidden. ZStormGirl doesn’t do stealth edits to material safety issues.

Retractions

Retractions are rare and only occur when:

  • A piece of content is fundamentally incorrect
  • A safety issue requires immediate removal
  • A narrative or historical element is invalidated by new evidence
  • A tutorial or walkthrough is found to be unsafe or misleading

Retracted content is replaced with a notice explaining why it was removed.

Versioning

Major updates include:

  • A version number
  • A timestamp
  • A summary of changes

This keeps the archive honest and the perimeter clean.
